SWARM 5 is Pubished

Mission accomplished: The fifth installment of SWARM is published, which is the last series of five novellas. Thirteen years later, I never expected that those plots I wrote to pass the time when I began working as a security guard in 2010 would evolve into a book series. However, my original intent was to collaborate on a comic book idea, perhaps someday, or something similar to what Sylvester Stallone did with his movie, Rocky. Then, I suffered a sudden stroke due to my carelessness, compounded by my diabetes, and the demanding night shifts that exacerbated hypertension, the silent killer as doctors call it. Thankfully, I survived, but half my body was left crippled, and my brain sustained partial damage, resulting in slurred speech that made me sound like an alcoholic. It was a lonely place to be. However, in that moment, I remembered those seemingly frivolous plots I had written about what defines an elite soldier, something I had contemplated pursuing in the military back then. I decided to give it a try and transform those plots into a novel.

Available at Amazon.

Description:

David woke up from a bewitching dream. He was at his friend Nathan’s house in Michigan for homecoming from UC Berkeley. The plan was to go to Boston next, where David lived, and also celebrate his grandfather’s 100th birthday. But not before Raymond, Nathan’s cousin, took them duck hunting. After that, they would return to Berkeley, where the two college friends would share their experiences with their friends at their favorite Chinese restaurant. David would eventually continue designing an illustration of an underwater colony as part of a comic book titled Swarm. He didn’t realize that it would save a future civilization.

Science Fiction, Magical Realism, Dystopian, Sarcasm, and Humor.

You can also purchase the five series together at Amazon.

It wasn't easy, though; it was a mixed feeling of a third party demonizing the progress. On the other hand, besides blogging, this was another artistic medium that lifted my spirits with a sense of hope. It didn't happen overnight, but I self-published another book instead, titled Carbon Planet: Our Destiny In The Stars. Afterward, I returned to SWARM and decided to expand on the details, surpassing its initial limits, ultimately transforming it into a series and enhancing the depth of the storytelling.

These series of novella projects wouldn't have been possible without the professional services I found on FIVERR. I am extremely grateful for discovering them, especially considering the affordability they offered.

The next project for the SWARM series involves turning it into a single book, which may span around 800 pages. The same professional typographer who has been instrumental in this process will be working on it. I anticipate that SWARM: The Pentalogy will be published either before December or possibly even sooner.

Description:
Nathan and David, two college friends from Berkeley, go duck hunting in Michigan with Raymond. After entering a portal that transports them to the distant future, where the earth is humid, flooded with only a few islands, and inhabited by gigantic mythical creatures, they learn that oceans are the only places humans can survive, including the moon and the exosphere. Elite soldiers from an undersea metropolis recount the history of all that is as they voyage. With the soldiers' city at risk of destruction, David and his friends are sent back to alter the course of destiny.
