I asked Bard: Did astronauts gone back to the moon? Bard answered: No, no astronauts have gone back to the moon since the last crewed mission in December 1972, Apollo 17. There have been a number of robotic missions to the moon since then, but no humans have set foot on its surface in over 50 years. There are a number of reasons why humans have not returned to the moon. One reason is cost. The Apollo missions were very expensive, and it is not clear that the public is willing to pay for another moon landing. Another reason is that there are other priorities for NASA, such as the International Space Station and the James Webb Space Telescope. However, there is renewed interest in sending humans back to the moon. In 2017, NASA announced the Artemis program, which aims to land the first woman and the next man on the moon by 2024. The Artemis program is still in development, but it is a major step towards returning humans to the moon. It is also possible that private companies will be inv

Yesterday, my brother woke me up at 2:00 PM. However, I was already awake, thinking about my recent email to the editor of my manuscript, SWARM: Home Sweet Home, the last book in the SWARM series. I had sent it to her earlier that morning, around 10:00 AM, and I had reminded her at around 3:00 AM. She was working on a different project at that time, so she asked me to hold on a bit and offered me a customer upgrade because of the manuscript's length. My book is over 30,000 words, which is more than the gig I had selected for the service. I said okay and thanked her. Standard editing will take her about a week. That package will include structural editing, proofreading, and consistency of voice and tone. Regarding line editing, she prefers me not to go there because that part is pretty much done on my side. It might only make her slow down, figuring out how to arrange better lines. Nevertheless, proofreading and my weakness in tenses, where I tend to drift, are where I needed help m

Pumping Some Iron

I can't sleep because I'm thinking about going to the gym. I might as well blog about it. For a long time, other than walking around the parking lot at work for 15 minutes three times a day as part of my job as a security guard, I did a workout right after work using the equipment I had in my bedroom.  I took the advice of  Egan Inoue  a retired MMA fighter from Hawaii to give myself some minutes to workout instead of making excuses about not having time. And it felt good afterward, just like he said it would. I did plan to go to the gym after finishing the SWARM Series and after publishing SWARM: The Pentalogy, which will be all five series in one, around 700+ pages. It's not because it is costly for my budget as a security guard. The affordable one around my neighborhood costs only 10 dollars monthly, with 45-something dollars to join. That place is Planet Fitness. And it has all the primary machines and free weights you need, including many cardio machines. My excuse for

The Hunger Games from another dimension.

I haven't seen the movie or read the book trilogy, but a reviewer and beta reader finally understood where I'm going with the story. She said it's like The Hunger Games in another dimension. Other personal reviews wondered what happened to the main characters when they went to another realm. Well, it's in the book. Available at Amazon . I should note on the last page that this book will be continued if you don't understand the clues of a sequel at the end. However, I recently updated the last chapters to make the book more straightforward as a stand-alone and read as is. I plan to write other stories while this novel gets more readers, and then I'll write the sequel. (concept cover) The planned sequel book title will be Carbon Planet: The Pontiac Warriors. Description: One weekend, a group of men who were family and friends and worked together at a car factory went fishing at a great lake. They were abducted to another time from the Carnivorous Era, when iceberg

I have had overtime lately, so I decided to treat myself to a Grande size Iced Latte with the extra pennies I earned. The rest of the money goes towards producing and promoting my books. I'm still not sure if the overtime is just a coincidence or if someone is trying to spy on me while I'm working on my secret project, SWARM. My co-worker calling off work to care for her husband with medical issues may have nothing to do with it. She's been through a lot, and I can't imagine how they're going to make ends meet on her security guard salary. But seeing her situation made me feel more secure that my privacy is not being invaded. I was squeezing in some time to finish final touch-ups during overtime at work before sending my last series of SWARM before publication. I know some people might think I'm cheap for buying a Mr. Brown coffee can from China. It's just a little brown can with a subtitle that says Iced-Coffee but I drank it straight from the can in the Sa
