The Hunger Games from another dimension.

I haven't seen the movie or read the book trilogy, but a reviewer and beta reader finally understood where I'm going with the story. She said it's like The Hunger Games in another dimension. Other personal reviews wondered what happened to the main characters when they went to another realm. Well, it's in the book.

I should note on the last page that this book will be continued if you don't understand the clues of a sequel at the end. However, I recently updated the last chapters to make the book more straightforward as a stand-alone and read as is. I plan to write other stories while this novel gets more readers, and then I'll write the sequel.

Description:
One weekend, a group of men who were family and friends and worked together at a car factory went fishing at a great lake. They were abducted to another time from the Carnivorous Era, when icebergs did not exist and the climate was extremely warm. There, they met a detective who helped them return to their own time. However, before they could go back, they were put on a test by extraterrestrial beings to see if ordinary people could live in the future.

This was a very interesting and very good book. And just the concept alone was a very unique story. Most of what I liked was the mystery but the action and intrigue grew as the story went. The story line is developed exceedingly well -- clever, interesting, surprising twists. Interesting plot, dangerous and mysterious world, lovable characters. Mystery and wonder around every corner. Its like if the hunger games happened in another dimension.
 
The progress of the book makes logical sense as it is very detailed, well written, easy to read and most importantly, original. If you enjoy this kind of puzzle, with a comic feel to it, then you'll enjoy this book -- as I did, as evidenced by my review!

OUTSIDE - A Zombie Film

  I was quite impressed with this zombie film when I came across it on Netflix, especially since it's a film from the Philippines featuring my favorite actor, Sid Lucero. I remember he was chosen by Lav Diaz, my favorite Filipino director, to play a psychopathic character in Norte, the End of History , a film based on my hometown in the Philippines. The story is very unique, with some memorable scenes, strong drama, dark humor, and a few disturbing sequences I’ll never forget.
